The Michell Audio TecnoDec Turntable is a high-performance, unsuspended vinyl deck that incorporates many of the advanced engineering principles found in the iconic GyroDec. Designed to deliver exceptional clarity, stability, and musical detail, the TecnoDec features Michell’s impedance-matched, vibration-damped platter, chosen for its neutral sonic character and ability to control resonance at the source. At its core is Michell’s inverted oil-circulating main bearing, which continuously lubricates critical contact points during playback for ultra-quiet operation, long-term reliability, and excellent speed stability. A free-standing motor unit, machined from solid aircraft-grade aluminum, is fully isolated from the chassis to prevent motor-borne vibration from reaching the platter and tonearm. The deck is supported by pure Sorbothane-insert feet to isolate structural vibration and is supplied with the Michell T2 tonearm, featuring a low-resonance arm tube, precision hand-assembled bearings, and low-capacitance phono cabling. The result is a refined, highly revealing turntable that far exceeds expectations at its class.
